OVERVIEW

The purpose of any “thon”, as in Bike-a-thon, is to have fun and raise money for a worthy cause. That is true for the Katy Klassic.

The worthy cause is Liberty Classical School (LCS). LCS is a Christian Classical school. Founded in 2000 it provides a complete High School education and/or supplemental classes for home school students. The school is distinctively Christian with all subjects taught as a part of the whole with Scripture at the center. It is also distinctively Classical. The Classical Trivium of Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric are emphasized in all subjects. The crown jewel of the Grammar curriculum is Latin.

The fun part is a bike ride on the Katy Trail. It is the longest (225 miles) developed rail to trail in the country. The section that we will be riding follows the Missouri River and provides some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. It is truly a recreational treasure for Missouri.
